Pharmacy Student Ambassadors: Emily Schwab MPH, Doctor of Pharmacy Candidate |
Emily Schwab is a Doctor of Pharmacy candidate (Class of 2025) at the UC San Francisco School of Pharmacy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public health from UC Berkeley and a Master of Public Health degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Prior to attending UCSF, Emily was a Clinical Research Coordinator at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center and Alpha Stem Cell Clinic. At UC Davis, she worked on early phase clinical trials investigating therapies for hematologic malignancies and bone marrow transplant. She then transitioned to a Clinical Trial Associate role at a Clinical Research Organization, a position which she maintains while in pharmacy school. Emily’s professional interests include Investigational Drug Service (IDS), oncology clinical research, pharmaceutical industry research, and pharmacovigilance. She is actively involved in several pharmaceutical industry research projects. Emily is also passionate about community health and participates in multiple community health and health advocacy projects with UCSF. She is the first student ambassador of the Society of Research Clinicians (SRC). |

Melody (Seonga) Song, PharmD
Dr. Melody (Seonga) Song is a current PGY-2 investigational drugs and research pharmacy resident at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. She completed her PharmD degree at UC San Francisco School of Pharmacy in 2022 and PGY-1 pharmacy residency program at NYU Langone-Long Island in 2023. Melody’s professional interest lies in oncology clinical research focusing on pharmacogenomics, clinical trial design, and drug development. She enjoys working with the multidisciplinary team in the ever-changing field of treatment and technology in oncology. She also hopes to contribute to the advancement of science through clinical research and help improve the quality of life and survival outcome of the patients. She is excited to join Society of Research Clinicians as a resident co-ambassador to help advocate the profession of IDS. |
Alan Yee, PharmD
Dr. Alan Yee is a PGY2 resident in the Investigational Drugs and Research Pharmacy program at the University of Michigan Health. He completed his PharmD at the University of Pittsburgh and interned at UPMC’s Investigational Drug Service during his time there. Prior to pharmacy school, Alan worked in basic science and completed a master’s in pharmacology at the University of Pennsylvania. His primary research focus was the role of cell cycle proteins in HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders. Alan’s professional interests are translational science, early phase development, decentralized clinical trials, and DEI. Alan’s interest in SRC stems from current efforts in standardization through workgroups and future efforts to form interdisciplinary connections to break down silos. |
